Things to know about Verizon Ethics:

What is Verizon Ethics?

Verizon Ethics is responsible for promoting ethical business conduct within Verizon. We provide a confidential global compliance hotline, available 24/7 to anyone who wants to ask questions, seek guidance, or report concerns about ethics, compliance, or our Code of Conduct. You can report your concern online through our web portal or over the phone using the appropriate number for your country. Verizon Ethics is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 844-894-8433, www.verizonethics.com, or ethics@verizon.com.

Who administers the hotline and this online intake portal?

The hotline and online portal are administered by an independent company (NAVEX); all contacts are directly routed to Verizon Ethics. Both contact methods are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can accommodate calls in numerous languages. Ethics@verizon.com is directly administered and monitored by Verizon Ethics.

Who else can I speak to?

You have an array of resources to assist you should you have any concerns or questions. Generally, your supervisor or manager will be in the best position to help navigate an integrity issue. However, your direct supervisor is not your only option. In addition to Verizon Ethics, Human Resources, Legal, and the Security Department are also available to help.

What happens after I contact Verizon Ethics?

Once you submit your concern via phone or web, you will receive a Report Key and Password which can be used to follow up on your submission. Then, an electronic summary is sent to Verizon Ethics for review and to determine further action. You are encouraged to follow-up in the event additional information is needed from you. If you reported anonymously, the questions will be posted through this web portal for you to review and respond using your Report Key and Password. You may or may not receive information on the ultimate results of the investigation, but you will receive confirmation that the issue has been addressed. Provide as much specific detail as possible.

What is Verizon’s stance on retaliation?

Verizon strictly prohibits retaliation against employees for submitting complaints or cooperating with investigations. Anyone engaging in retaliation is subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment. If you believe you or others are the subject of retaliation for reporting suspected misconduct or cooperating with an investigation, you must report the matter to Verizon Ethics, Human Resources, or to the Legal Department.

Are reports to Verizon Ethics secure and confidential?

Investigations, inquiries, and complaints are kept confidential as permitted by law and Verizon's need to appropriately address the issue. You have the option of contacting Verizon Ethics anonymously where it is permitted by law.
